Nestled on the edge of the Sahara Desert, the Aïr Massif is one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Africa. In the heart of the traditional region of the Tuaregs, the majestic Aïr mountains offer us a sublime setting. There are few places like this left on our planet, that's why the Ténéré desert and the Aïr massif will allow you to live an unforgettable experience.
The Aïr is an amazing sanctuary of biodiversity gathering an interesting variety of species of all kinds. The massif is also famous for its rock representations. Indeed, you will find on the rocks, engravings which would date from 6000 to 10,000 years BC. Most of these drawings represent large mammals, the most famous of which is the drawing of a majestic giraffe 5 meters high. Every year, many cultural festivities take place, including the Tuareg festival, the Bianou festival, the Salt Cure, and Gani. During this tour, it is interesting to discover the ancestral traditions in the company of the Tuaregs in the heart of the oasis of Timia.
