Expedition in the Ennedi Desert - Chad

A hidden desert, a living Sahara located between the Gueltas, lakes and oases. This extraordinary journey takes us to one of the last "white spots" of the largest sand desert in the world, the Sahara.

The Ennedi Plateau is an area composed of a succession of mountain massifs, strangely altered by the weather, now asphalted. The erosion of the reddish sandstone rocks has made strange natural sculptures with bewitching and impressive shapes appear in the Ennedi desert. There are also well-preserved cave paintings dating back thousands of years.

After exploring the Ennedi Desert, we will cross the huge "sand bowl" of the Mourdi Depression surrounded by magnificent sand dunes. Then we will pass small salt oases and reach the Ounianga lakes where the dunes, palm trees and limestone rocks are reflected in the dark blue water of the lake.

The 3-day extension leads to the Zakouma National Park, rich in fauna and flora - an equally unique experience!

Tour will take place between December and February.
